Assemblin to conduct installation work at expanding Falun Hospital
Assemblin has secured a further major installation assignment at Falun Hospital, which is now undergoing renovation and extension to meet increased care capacity needs in Region Dalarna. The value of the order is estimated at about SEK 60 million.
Assemblin is installing heating, sanitation, gas and cooling in the extensive project initiated at the hospital. The order is valued at about SEK 60 million and the assignment is being conducted as a turnkey contract in partnership with our client Byggdialog.
“We have partnered with Byggdialog and Region Dalarna for a long time, conducting installation projects in favourable mutual collaboration. In this assignment, our skilled project organization is continuing to deliver, in coordination with its partners, a technically complex building with strict environmental requirements,” says Andreas Aristiadis, President and Business Area Manager, Assemblin Heating and Sanitation.
Through the project, the hospital is expanding its capacity in high-tech care, while also improving patient safety and the working environment for employees. New space is being added by extending the existing emergency department by six storeys, and by remodelling two storeys. The project encompasses a total of about 10,700 m2 within, for example, the intensive care and radiology departments. The work commenced this autumn and is scheduled for completion in the autumn of 2026. The building is designed to achieve the Gold level in accordance with the Miljöbyggnad environmental construction standard.
