Assemblin is awarded assignment for a new correction facility in the Kalmar region (Sweden)
Assemblin Electrical has been entrusted with delivering security and telecommunications installations to the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's (SPPS) new prison in the Kalmar region. The assignment is carried out as a turnkey contract within the framework of SPPS´s framework agreement for the installation, renovation and upgrading of telecommunications systems.
The project includes the installation and integration of several security-related systems and is part of SPPS´s ongoing effort to strengthen capacity across Sweden. Assemblin contributes with technical expertise and project implementation in close collaboration with SPPS and other involved parties. The order value corresponds to a total of SEK 169 million with an option for additional orders of up to SEK 39 million.
The assignment is gradually being implemented in phases with a planned start of production in 2026 and completion in 2030 when the facility will be completed. Through this assignment, Assemblin further strengthens the already established collaboration with the SPPS in the region, as the parties have previously worked on installations and technical solutions at the detention center in Kalmar.
