Unique installation solutions from Assemblin when Helsingborg is renewed

One of the first buildings to emerge in Helsingborg's new Oceanhamnen district is the office building Prisma. Assemblin has been commissioned to perform electricity and plumbing installations, where a unique sewage system will contribute to the city's environmental goals. The total order value for Assemblin amounts to approximately SEK 30 million.

The Prisma office building, which is being built by Skanska with Wihlborgs as employer, has highly distinctive architecture with glass sections that reflect the changing seasons. The building has approximately 11,000 square metres of floor area with flexible areas adapted to tenants' needs. Prisma will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Guld.

"A key part of the installation is a unique three-part sewage system, where waste will be used for the production of biogas and plant fertiliser," says Ronny Winroth, project manager at Assemblin VS in Helsingborg.

The system, known as “three pipes out”, involves separate drains from food waste disposal units, toilets and washbasins, showers and sinks. In addition to the sewage system, Assemblin's assignment includes tap water, heating, cooling, lighting, power, data, networks and passage systems.

The Prisma office building and the new district of Oceanhamnen are part of H+, the largest urban renewal project in Helsingborg in modern times, with a focus on a sustainable social, cultural and physical environment. Between now and 2035, four urban areas will be developed to provide space for new residents, businesses and meeting places.
