Assemblin to carry out electrical and security installations at Malmen School in Kumla
Assemblin Electrical has been commissioned to carry out all electrical and security installations during the upgrade of Malmen School and an associated sports hall in Kumla. The order value amounts to approximately SEK 37 million.
Malmen School is undergoing an extensive upgrade where the existing school building will be demolished and replaced by a new school building of approximately 9,000 square meters. In addition, a sports hall of approximately 2,000 square meters is being built. The project is a central part of Kumla Municipality's long-term development of modern and reliable educational environments.
Assemblin's mission encompasses the entire range of electricity and security technology, including power, lighting, telecommunications/data, backup power, as well as security systems for access systems, burglary protection, and entry and exit alarms. An important part of the project is that the school building is designed as a so-called safety point, which entails strict requirements for security, redundancy and functionality in the event of, for example, power outages or other societal disruptions. Among other things, backup power and other systems are installed that enable, for example, cooking and basic operations even without access to regular electricity supply.
The project is being implemented as a partnership agreement and started about a year ago. The sports hall will be completed in June 2026, and the school building will be completed in June 2027. The project is being run in close collaboration with the RO group, which is the main contractor.
