Assemblin signs agreement with LC Entreprenad AB for electrical installations and security solutions in NewCold's cold storage in Sweden
Assemblin Electrical has been commissioned to carry out electrical installations and safety solutions including fire alarms in NewCold's cold storage located in Flen, Sweden. The project is being carried out on behalf of LC Entreprenad AB with NewCold as the end customer and will be completed in January 2027.
Assemblin's assignment includes comprehensive responsibility for electrical and security systems, including fire alarms, which are central functions in a modern and highly automated warehouse facility. Assemblin has been chosen as a partner due to its stable organisation, solid technical expertise and a well-structured execution plan.
NewCold is a global player in automated cold storage with facilities across Europe and rest of the world. The investment in Flen is part of the company's continued expansion in the Nordic markets. The facility is being built with a focus on efficiency and high capacity, where modern and technology-intensive systems are crucial for the operations. The new cold storage facility is an important investment for NewCold and will help strengthen the company's logistics capacity in Sweden. The facility is planned to be commissioned in the end of 2026, which places high demands on clear project management and close collaboration between all parties involved.
“This is an important project for NewCold's continued development in Sweden, and we are proud to contribute with our expertise in electrical installation and automation solutions. We look forward to delivering a stable, reliable and future-proofed solution in close collaboration with LC Entreprenad,” says Jonas Klarén, CEO of Assemblin Electrical, SVP.
