Assemblin performs electrical and security installations at Ahlsell's upgraded logistics center
Assemblin Electrical has been commissioned to carry out all electrical and safety installations at the extensive expansion of Ahlsell's logistics center in Hallsberg.
Ahlsell's logistics center in Hallsberg is one of Europe's largest and forms the hub of the company's logistics operations. Over 1,100 people work here, and around 220 trucks pass the existing facility daily. The ongoing expansion is part of Ahlsell's long-term expansion of its logistics operations and contributes to increased capacity, more efficient flows and a future-proof, more sustainable delivery capability.
Assemblin's assignment includes electrical and security installations in connection with a renovation of the existing office of approximately 3 300 square meters, a new expansion of warehouse premises of approximately 31,000 square meters as well as a new, detached restaurant building of approximately 1,600 square meters. The assignment includes electrical installations, new switchgear, backup power plant, telecommunications, lighting and security systems for fire, burglary and passage protection. The delivery also includes the installation and commissioning of new, ultra-modern fast chargers for trucks.
The project is complex and is being carried out in phases, with each completed phase being handed over to the automation supplier. The almost 30-meter high ceiling height in the warehouse building creates technical and logistical challenges that require careful planning and a high level of specialist expertise. Design work started in the summer of 2025, and the production phase began in December 2025. The project is to be completed in March 2027 and is being managed in close collaboration with the client HMB Construction Örebro AB and the end customer Ahlsell.
