Assemblin divests subsidiary KP Svets in Sweden
Assemblin H&S has divested KP Svets with 12 employees and annual sales corresponding to about SEK 20 million.
KP Svets AB is a specialised welding business in Uppsala, focusing on metalworking operations. In addition to Assemblin H&S, customers include manufacturing companies, property owners and private individuals.
Although the company was acquired in 2019 as part of a larger business, Assemblin H&S decided to divest KP Svets with the purpose of streamlining its operations. The business was sold to two KP Svets employees who will continue to run the operations.
“KP Svets has stable operations and a good reputation in the market, however, the decision to divest the welding operations allows us to focus fully on our installation and service operations. We are very pleased that ownership will be transferred to two of the current employees, safeguarding commitment and favourable development of the operations,” says Andreas Aristiadis, EVP and Business Area Manager of Assemblin H&S.
